In the last 5000 years, organized religions have dominated culture and politics. In this live review, we discuss the major world religions and their historical significance. Although the bulk of world religions developed during the classical era including Christianity, Buddhism, Confucianism, and Daoism, we’re also going to take a look at the defining characteristics of early traditions including Judaism and Hinduism as well as later developments such as Islam and Sikhism. All of these religions have spread across the world because of factors including trade and migrations.
