In this summary, we discuss cell structure and cellular transport by stating the purpose of cellular respiration (converting food sources into usable energy). The 3 major steps in cellular respiration are covered (glycolysis & pyruvate oxidation, Krebs [citric acid] Cycle, & electron transport chain). We discuss glycolysis and pyruvate oxidation to show what will go in and what will come out. Electron carriers must be recycled (alcohol fermentation and lactic fermentation). We show the electron transport chain and chemiosmosis and end with multiple choice practice.
